Organizations succeed when leaders serve. When leaders listen to those on the front lines and provide the support and resources “front-liners” need to do their job, i.e., care for “our” patients. Quality, commitment, performance, and service starts at the top.
The Board, the Administration, the Medical Staff, the Nursing Leadership and all other Support Staff are like a table with four legs. The perspectives and input of each should be valued, all working together as “respectful partners”.
Long term planning should not be abandoned when facing the struggles of day to day survival. Strategic decisions based upon sound forward looking foundational principles must drive the efforts that can make our visions for Palomar Health a reality.
